Suits seem to have a maximum lifespan of around 30-40 years, if they’re worn infrequently, before they just fall completely apart. ’80s and ’90s suits are plentiful in the thrift stores today, with ’70s and ’60s models becoming harder to find. Suits earlier than that are rare birds indeed, but every now and then you’ll come across a gem that has somehow survived the corruption of age and moths.
Based on the 1939 union tag and the overall styling, this beauty is from the ’39-45 period, or thereabouts. Too bad it doesn’t fit me.

How cool! Where did you find it?
At a local consignment shop. Ask me in person if you want to know more.
what’s the size of this outstanding suit?
Ale, it was right about 39R. I sold it on Ebay last week.
