Many men shy away from wearing yellow ties.  Either they associate them with the yellow power ties of the ’80s or they think of yellow as a girly color.  But I don’t have a problem with them, and paired with the right suit and other accessories, it’s a nice summer-y look.  This tie goes especially well with seersucker, but that’s a topic for another post.

Suit: Kingsridge, thrifted, $20

Shirt: Jos. A. Bank, clearance, $20

Tie: Brooks Brothers, store discount, $25

Pocket square: Cut from an old bandanna, $0

Shoes: Vintage Johnston & Murphy, thrifted, $15

Tailoring: $10

Total: $90

If I’d paid retail prices: At least $1000.

Very nice finds. I do quite a bit of thrifting but most of my stuff needs alterations. I do shirts myself but suits are a lot more work. I like your finds.
