    Jeff,
    Love your stuff.
How can you tell if a hole can be rewoven? I’ve passed on a couple Hickey-Freeman suits due to holes.
    Thanks,
    Dave

Most holes can be rewoven, it’s just a question of the reweaver’s skill and cost. Typically smooth-finished cloths with fine threads show the repairs more than a loose-woven tweed or a fuzzier fabric, but the reweaver did a fantastic job with this suit even though it’s a smooth cloth.

That suit is sick. I don’t blame you for overdressing. After I bought a vintage fur coat, I wore it to the library for toddler storytime. I just couldn’t help myself.

Love this suit! One my favorite outfits you have featured on the Thrifty Gent recently.

Where on earth can I find a consignment shop that would stock purple label??? Holy cow! I am just starting to get into fashion since my new job requires at least slacks and a jacket. If I find a purple label I am wearing it even if I am dressed better than my CEO. Seriously, I would love to find a consignment shop in VA or MA I travel a lot to one and live in the other.

Ha, thanks, Robert. RLPL is rare as hens’ teeth here, too. The entirety of RLPL I’ve found here in five years of thrifting comprises two suits (including this one) and one sportcoat.

Hi Jeff, which consignment store did you get this suit and the Hickey Freeman suit? Also could you recommend a good tailor that does the rewoven holes repair please? May Jesus’ truth rest on you.

I’ve always had luck with this reweaver.
