Cuffs on trousers are an oft-neglected point in most men’s wardrobes.  Whether they’re present on your trousers or not is a matter of taste, but if they’re there they should be properly sized.  The standard these days is 1.5″, but I consider that too skimpy for all but the shortest men.  If you’re taller than about 5’9″ or so, consider at least 1.75″ (that’s what my gray flannels here have), and if you’re more than six feet tall, consider even 2″ cuffs.  The proportionality helps balance out your height much better than skimpy cuffs down below.

One Response to Cuffs

Pity the Florsheim brand went to crap. That particular pair looks like they didn’t have a shoe tree in them for a majority of their life. They have the telltale toe lift of neglected leather.
